I'm Heather, an artist and educator based in Woodland Hills, California. I've spent my career teaching, working in general and special education, researching social-emotional learning, and studying how creativity supports mental health, resilience, and meaning-making. I also hold a BA in psychology with a minor in art history, an MA in special education, and a certificate in Social Emotional Arts through the Arts and Healing Initiative. All of that lives quietly behind everything Soulfill makes.
Soulfill grew from the belief that art is not just decoration or enrichment. It's part of a healthy, meaningful life. Research increasingly points to active art-making as deeply connected to wellbeing, learning, empathy, and psychological resilience. Just like we prioritize nutrition, sleep, and movement, we should prioritize making things.
I create handmade goods pieces and thoughtful, creative resources meant to bring a little warmth and beauty into everyday life. A favorite mug, a small charm, a gentle prompt: small things that brighten a moment and invite us to be more present.
My hope is that Soulfill offers small moments of comfort and inspiration, and gently reminds you to do what fills your soul.
